Assen is running extra trains again with the TT Festival after last year’s success

Assen wants to use extra trains again for the coming TT Festival, and also next year. With this, the municipality wants to ‘better streamline the visitor flows to and from the event’.

Last year, extra trains ran to the TT Festival for the first time. And that went well, according to the mayor and aldermen.

“The extra train deployment had a positive effect on the crowds on the buses, which resulted in fewer incidents at the station,” the council said. That is why it is now being continued. The costs of 10,000 euros for 2024 and 2025 will be covered from the event budget.

This year’s TT Festival is from Saturday 22 June to Sunday 30 June. The program will be announced soon. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, tens of thousands of people are in town for the annual motorcycle party.
