The 1. FC Kaiserslautern was able to take nothing from Lower Saxony to the Palatinate at the start of the season of the 2nd Bundesliga. After a solid defense, the offensive, much stronger hosts of Hannover 96 earned 1-0 (0-0).
Noel Aseka redeemed the Hanoverian fans in the 75th minute with a precise low shot after Hanover’s superiority simply hadn’t been converted into goals beforehand. Aseka came into play after the goalless first half after the break. The guests showed that the departure of Rangna Ache and Filip Kalocs is not so easy to compensate for.
“New” Hannover 96 begins committed
The Hannover 96, which was strongly converted on 16 player positions and the head coach post, began and with his team, which was typical of new coach Christian Titz. However, it quickly turned out that his counterpart, the newly committed Torsten Lieberknecht, worked hard on the Palatinate’s weak defense weakness last season.
Because the hosts did not develop any chances – because the 1. FCK defended far too concentrated and the red pants in the home stadium together on the first day of the day were too imprecise. In the middle of the first round, the guests took over more game shares and, in the person of Morten Ritter came to the first – albeit harmless – goal shot from a distance.
Huge chance for Mustapha Bundu
Lautern’s first conclusion looked like a guard for the 96: In the switching movement, Husseyn Chakroune prevailed from the center line from strong in midfield and almost served the Mustapha Bundu, which was played: Because the game was given a bit too late, the striker from Sierra Leone did not fit, who could then only score with the picke. Nevertheless, Julian Krahl had to demonstrate his class from a short distance from a short distance and clarified with his left leg by reflex.
Speaking of Bundu and Krahl’s left leg: shortly before the break, both players were the focus again. After a throw -on from the left, the ball landed to the right in the penalty area at the Hanoverian striker, who cleverly prevailed against Redondo and pulled out of the turn with right. The angle was pointed, the distance at six meters was very low – and again Krahl with his left foot was on the post on the item.
Between the two chances, Luca Sirch narrowly failed for the guests from Betzenberg with a attempted Lupfer against Nahuel Noll and the ex-lauter Boris Tomiak with a sharp shot from a central position.
Bundu and Krahl – the third
The “red devils” from the Palatinate began the second round with a lot of will – and yet the first top -class duel was called Bundu against Krahl again: the African was played in the penalty area of storm colleague Benedikt Pichler, but his degree with the right inside was too weak for the again light awakening.
Hanover’s urge to score and superiority then grew again: This time it was Pichler who challenged Krahl with a header to another brilliant act, and then Krahl and the Lauterer were really lucky that the zero was held back: after a foul from Semi Sahin at Chakroun in a central position, Enzo Leopold spotted the ball through the Kaiserslauterer Wall on the left, and only a slightly Waste prevented the lead for the home side.
Aseko with a strong scene
It took up to the final quarter of an hour before the Hanoverian fans were able to cheer relieved. Asko played the ball to the right behind the center line to Virgil Ghita. While the Lauterer “ran” slightly in the backward movement, a broader free corridor for Aseko, who saw this and stabbed it. Ghita also discovered the corridor and served the 19-year-old perfectly. His low shot was not durable for the brave Lauterer goalkeeper.
In the final phase, the guests showed themselves again, but more than preventing another Hanoverian goal.
