AS Roma has permanently acquired Donyell Malen from Aston Villa. The 27-year-old international has signed a contract in the Italian capital until June 30, 2030.
Roma took over Malen on loan from the Premier League club in January. The striker proved his worth in Rome by scoring fifteen goals. With Roma he finished third in Serie A and secured the club’s participation in the Champions League.
Malen previously played for PSV and Borussia Dortmund. In January 2025 he moved to Villa from Birmingham, who loaned him to Roma halfway through last season.
The attacker is expected to be part of the selection of the Dutch national team, which national coach Ronald Koeman will announce on Wednesday.
