Came from Gremio for 11 million
AS Monaco have extended Vanderson’s contract after just six months. The 21-year-old Brazilian, who joined from Gremio Porto Alegre in January for €11m, has signed for a further year until 30 June 2027. The right-back has made 26 appearances for the Monegasque team to date, in which he was directly involved in five goals was.
“We are pleased to announce Vanderson’s contract extension. This signature shows once again our continued ambition and underlines our strategy to work with the best young players in Europe. He showed his very high quality and potential in Monaco from the first minute. He’s still young and it’s important for him to develop, but he has a good attitude, is focused on his work and is showing maturity. We look forward to spending the next few years together and helping him become the player we all believe he can be,” said sporting director Paul Mitchell.
