AS Monaco extend early contract with Guillermo Maripán

Came in 2019 for 18 million

AS Monaco have prematurely extended Guillermo Maripán’s contract by a year. The 28-year-old central defender has signed a new contract until June 30, 2025. The Chilean international, who was signed by Deportivo Alavés in 2019 for 18 million euros, has played 100 games for the Monegasque team to date, in which he has scored eleven goals.

“Guillermo is a player who has continued to develop since he arrived at the club. He’s a fighter, a player with character and an important role in our defence. The fact that he has made a long-term commitment to us is a sign of his ambition and will to continue on this path. We’re happy that we can count on him for the long term,” said sporting director Paul Mitchell.
