In the end, Arttu, the only one of the children to pursue a career as a musician, says that he was actually the “most untalented” musician of the siblings as a child. His father often sang the most skillfully of the siblings, until he lost his playing and singing abilities in a tragic accident.
– It turned out badly: he got under the wheelbarrow and dragged himself 20 meters under it. All bones were broken except for the spine, the skull was broken in several places and there are permanent brain injuries. The predictions were that he would never walk or communicate normally again, Wiskari says in the podcast.
At the time of Sisko’s accident, Wiskari was in elementary school. He remembers how the teacher’s announcement that Artu should go home in the middle of the day felt like a victory.
– Nothing was better than being able to leave in the middle of the day.
At home, we didn’t tell about the situation at first, and Wiskari didn’t think too much about it, but went about his own business.

When Wiskari finally understood what state his sister was in, it was a big shock for him. The situation started to clear up when the family went to the intensive care unit to see the severely injured sister.
– I remember when I walked next to my sister’s bed for the first time, I just looked and saw that it wasn’t my sister.
Wiskari describes how his classically beautiful sister had long blond hair and there was a “fat man who was very dark” in front of the tubes in the intensive care unit.
– He was so swollen that I didn’t recognize him. Hoses went to the back of the head and head. It was a pretty terrible situation. However, my oldest sister has always looked after me.
Today, Wiskar’s sister lives in Sweden, has two children and teaches zumba. Wiskari says that her sister’s joints are indeed made of titanium and she learned to speak and move again.
The accident left the sister with some permanent balance disorders and she lost hearing in one ear.
– It’s incredible, every time you see him, you remember how he survived that.
Arttu Wiskari and his wife Pauliina got married in 2013. They have a 9-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old son.
The Wiskarila restaurant run by Wiskar and his wife Pauliina filed for bankruptcy last August.
– That closure was a difficult decision, Wiskari commented to Iltalehte.
The musician continued that the restaurant was more of a hobby for him, and he is not left to complain about the situation, but plans to move on.
