Art Factory Córdoba present at the centenary of Palacio Barolo

Tell us a little about Art Factory.

Art Factory is a venture that was born from a personal experience as an Emerging Artist. My goal was to create a space that would function as a stepping stone to promote emerging artists who don’t have visibility. Being an emerging artist, I had the opportunity to experience firsthand the difficulties that some artists encounter when trying to enter the world of art. From there, try to generate a comprehensive proposal where the artist can not only disseminate her work but also learn tools that will help them grow artistically, from how to present themselves to a call to how to export their work.

Is it the first time you have participated in an event in Buenos Aires?

Yeah! And it was something very important for us, since our main public is in the Province of Córdoba and the interior of the country. In addition, because it is the celebration of the Centennial of the Palacio Barolo, we feel enormous pride in participating in a unique and unrepeatable occasion. For the occasion, we present 18 emerging artists from Córdoba, Mendoza and Tucumán. They are: Analia Bastus, Claudia Bianco, Natali Bonaudi, Adriana Braun, Romina Cervi, Myriam Cobos, Patricia Demeter, Vanesa Glass, Gisa Haquin, Aiko Iwakawa, Claudia Ocanto, Leonardo Martin Pagano, Patricia Requena, Vanina Santiago, Beatriz Sola, Ana Paula Vallone, Dora Werchow, Mara Wolansky, and Mary Scarafia.

Tell us about the experience of accompanying the artists of the interior in this event.

As soon as we received the invitation to participate, our first job was to put together a call. Then with our curator Natali Bonaudi we made a selection of works that seemed to us the most representative with respect to the spirit of Art Factory. That is, the work of artists of different trajectories and techniques living harmoniously in the same space. In the exhibition you can see a variety of very interesting art: digital art, artistic mosaic, watercolor, figurative art, abstract art, etc. Then, we simply take care of the logistics of the transfer and the assembly and curatorship of the sample according to what was discussed with the organization of Modo Arte.

How did they live the inauguration?

The most interesting thing of all is that several participating artists accompanied us from different provinces on the day of the vernissage. Added to that, we met a large number of artist friends from Buenos Aires, who in my personal case were known from my time as an artist and I also had the opportunity to share my work as a gallery owner with them. In addition, we were very surprised by the large number of people that the Centennial exhibition had, since at times it was very difficult to navigate the exhibition due to the large number of people who gathered in the different sectors of the space. Beyond this, the experience for us was unforgettable, since for some of the participating artists it was their entry into the art circuit of Buenos Aires. And doing it on the occasion of the Barolo Centenary is like entering through the front door!

What would you like to add about the occasion?

First of all, I want to thank the people of Modo Arte and especially Mr. Antonio Giardinieri, for the invitation to participate in such an important event. Your support and attention forces us as a gallery to continue working hard for emerging artists from the interior. Also our thanks to Ms. Vanessa Ohanessian, without whose support we probably would not have made it. Finally, we want to thank our community of Artists and especially those who accompanied us and made it possible for Art Factory to be the protagonist of this beautiful occasion. Thank you all!
