A parked truck on the grounds of transport company De Hart on Industrieweg in Heesbeen caught fire on Friday night. The fire was discovered around a quarter past three in the morning.
The fire brigade arrived quickly and quickly brought the fire under control. The damage was limited.
Arson
An initial investigation shows that this was a case of arson. A jerry can with a flammable liquid was found near the trailer. Presumably an attempt was made to set the trailer on fire.
According to an employee of the transport company, the arson may be related to a traffic dispute that took place earlier in the night. This truck was involved. The driver had parked the truck on this site after the argument.
Injured
The suspected perpetrators are said to have climbed over the company’s fence to set the trailer on fire.
They were probably injured, because traces of blood were found on the fence of the site and near the truck. The technical investigation department is investigating.
