FC Bayern is preparing for the round of 16 of the club World Cup. A prominent guest stopped by during the training – and gave a forecast.
A prominent visit to summer temperatures in Florida: Arsène Wenger paid a visit to FC Bayern. The former Arsenal coach (1996 to 2018) stopped by training the Bundesliga club at the ESPN Sports Complex in Orlando-and also commented on the upcoming round of round of 16 against Flameng next Sunday (from 10 p.m. in the T-online live ticker).
Wenger, who now works as a director of global football funding at FIFA, observed the unity from the stands. He was impressed by the previous achievements of the German record champion.
He said to the club media: “For me, FC Bayern is a favorite.” The Munich team started the tournament and had presented a good pace. He particularly liked Michael Olise.
Despite his assessment, the 75-year-old warned of the opponent from Brazil. Flamengo games quickly and have a strong play area from behind, emphasized Wenger. And: “They are dangerous at the front,” said the Frenchman. He expects a close game – but tap FC Bayern.
