Arsenal sign Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City

Brazil striker Gabriel Jesus is moving from Manchester City to English Premier League rivals Arsenal. Both clubs announced this.

A transfer fee of the equivalent of 52.3 million euros is under discussion. On Monday, Manchester presented 26-year-old midfielder Kalvin Phillips as a new signing.

The transfer of Jesus became apparent after City signed Erling Haaland from Dortmund. Jesus, who is given a long-term contract in London, has played for the English champions since January 2017 and has scored 95 goals in 236 games.

England international Phillips comes to City from league rivals Leeds United and has signed a contract until 2026, according to the club.

He has played for Leeds since he was 14 years old. The defensive midfielder has made 23 appearances for England so far.
