Liverpool faced Arsenal in the first leg of the English League Cup semi-finals.

Xhaka’s harsh action against Jota in the 24th minute of the match was punished with a red card. From this moment on, although Liverpool tried to develop effective attacks until the end of the match, Arsenal managed to close their goal and got what they wanted for the rematch.
