Two men were arrested this morning in Meppel and Nijeveen on suspicion of drug trafficking, among other things. Two homes were searched, the investigation is still ongoing.
In Meppel, a 34-year-old man was arrested in a house on Linthorst Homanstraat by the Special Interventions Service (DSI). A 30-year-old man from Meppel was arrested at De Ryge in Nijeveen. The men are suspected of possession of firearms, trafficking in narcotics and money laundering.
The houses in Meppel and Nijeveen were searched, the police seized ‘several goods’. The suspects have been detained and are being questioned.
