The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested this Sunday a man, 57 years old, for his alleged relationship with the person who barricaded himself in a house in the Sant Martí neighborhood of Barcelona, ​​after shooting two people with a firearm this Saturday at noon. The Catalan Police keeps open the search operation for the author of the shooting, who disappeared from the flat after several hours of police siege, with a drone and a helicopter and dozens of agents on the street. Mossos sources have informed this newspaper that the detainee this Sunday is not directly responsible for the shooting, but is presumably related to the incident.

On Saturday, after receiving information that the alleged perpetrator of the shots had barricaded himself in a flat, the Mossos agreed on the area between Maresme street and Pere IV street and, when they entered the building, they found no one inside. The investigation is still open.

The two wounded by firearms were admitted to the hospitalbut his life is not in danger.
