The police and an arrest team from the Special Interventions Service (DSI) raided a business premises and an adjacent home on Saturday evening on the Run in Veldhoven. They were looking for a 60-year-old man who allegedly threatened with a firearm.
The arrest team, consisting of approximately ten people, combed both buildings. The suspect’s girlfriend and her daughter were taken from the house. According to a police spokesperson, the 48-year-old resident has been arrested.
The man turned out not to be at home. The suspect was then contacted with a request to report to the police station. He indeed reported a short time later, after which he was also arrested.
It is unclear what exactly happened.
