Police have arrested a suspect in an investigation into explosions at homes and catering establishments. The suspect is said to have been involved in several explosions.
He or she was arrested tonight. In recent weeks there have been explosions at café-restaurant In The City on Kleine-Gartmanplantsoen, The Harbor Club in East and a flat at Florijn in Zuidoost, but the police do not want to say which explosions the suspect was involved in.
“The arrest is the result of investigations by, among others, the teams that were set up more than a week ago,” the police said. “The investigation continues unabated and multiple arrests are therefore not ruled out.”
The suspect is in restrictions and may only have contact with his or her lawyer. According to the police, no more information can be released.
