Seventh country in a career

Marko Arnautovic found a new club at Inter Milan after his end of the contract. The 36 -year -old center forwarder changes free of charge to the Super Liga Srbije to Red Stern Belgrade, where he signed a contract until 2027. There he should collect 2.5 million euros net every year and thus be the best paid player in the club’s history. Serbia is the seventh country in his long career.
Arnautovic has the experience of 520 professional games with 217 goal participations. In Germany, he had played for Werder Bremen, in England for West Ham and Stoke City, in Italy for Bologna and Inter, in the Netherlands for Twente, in China for Shanghai Port and during youth in his homeland Austria, among other things for the Floridsdorfer AC. Born in Viennese, the Viennese was the highest market value between December 2018 and September 2019 with 35 million euros when he was under contract with West Ham United. Six years later, 3 million euros were left.
At Roter Star, the veteran now meets a former teammate with the technical director Marko Marin, 46 times there were both side by side for the SVW on the square. Arnautovic also comes into the footsteps of another former colleague. The central defender went to Red Stern Belgrade as an Austrian in 2021 and played 136 games for the Serbian record champion by 2024. Most recently, Arnautovic had also been associated with the SK Rapid, which, however, refrained from an obligation.
