ARMEDANGELS designs Donation T-Shirt for Fashion Revolution Week 2022

WORDS MATTER. BUT ACTIONS MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

It has now been nine years since one of the worst humanitarian catastrophes in the history of the fashion industry occurred: the collapse of the Rana Plaza building complex in Savar, Bangladesh on April 24, 2013:

1,138 people lost their lives. 2,500 others were seriously injured – the price of the fast fashion industry.

The Fashion Revolution Week was launched on this tragic occasion: against oblivion, against abuses, against injustices in an industry that is one of the dirtiest in the world and exposes millions of workers to life-threatening dangers every day.

Nine years after the devastating accident, ARMEDANGELS is setting an example and is involved with a fundraiser for Fashion Revolution Week for the fifth time in a row.

MADE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

With the FRW Donation T-Shirt, ARMEDANGELS draws attention to the abuses in the textile industry and fights for more rights and better working conditions. The fair fashion pioneer uses his voice, calling on people to speak up, to get involved and to question the long and complex manufacturing process of our clothing.

ARMEDANGELS knows its suppliers, knows how its clothes are made and fights every day to ensure that every piece of clothing is produced under safe conditions and that wages are above the legal minimum wage. Independent organizations such as GOTS and Fair Wear Foundation guarantee that ARMEDANGELS not only talks, but also acts.

SUSTAINABLE FASHION INCLUDES GARMENT WORKERS

100% of the proceeds from the limited FRW Donation T-shirt go as a donation to the NGWF (National Garments Workers Federation) and are intended to help on site. The NGWF supports textile workers in the textile industry in taking legal action against bad pay and unfair dismissals and in fighting for more women’s rights in Bangladesh.
