The man whose identity was not released, the State Farm Stadium in Glendale would have been walked in and “displayed behavior,” it sounded in a statement from the Secret Service. When agents of the secret service appealed him, he claimed to be a member of the police and said he was armed. He would have had at least one gun and a knife in his pocket and showed invalid police regimation, explained an anonymous source that is familiar with the case.
The authorities announced that the man was not a member of the police services competent for the security of the event. It is still being investigated why he was on site. In the meantime, the suspect is in custody.
The incident raises questions about safety on and near the location where the farewell service will take place. The service is also expected to be attended by President Donald Trump, vice president JD Vance and many other prominent figures. There is more than 100,000 attendees.
