Armed home robbery: man (21) in PostNL shirt arrested

The police have arrested a man from Nijmegen for an armed home robbery on October 13 in Veghel. The face of the 21-year-old suspect has now been made unrecognizable in a photo previously distributed by the police. The recognized man, who is still in custody, was wearing a PostNL shirt. There is still no trace of two other perpetrators.

The robbery of the house on Van Limburg Stirumstraat in Veghel was committed around midnight by three masked men. The morning before, a man in a PostNL polo rang the doorbell of the residents. This turned out to be the man who has now been arrested by the police. He had no package with him and the residents did not open the door for him. Later that evening he appeared at the same home with two other robbers.

During the robbery, the residents were threatened with a firearm. The perpetrators made off with a telephone and an amount of money. According to the police, the residents were obviously very shocked, but they were not injured. Because the robbery had a great impact on them, victim assistance was called in.

The police do not rule out that the perpetrators have operated in this way more often. She is therefore urgently looking for more information. The stolen telephone was later found on the roadside on Rembrandtlaan.

Money and a telephone were taken during the robbery:
