Arket opens its first store in Italy

The Arket brand, which belongs to the Swedish clothing group Hennes & Mauritz AB (H&M), is targeting the Italian market. On Friday, the label announced that it would open its first flagship store in the country next spring. The Swedes chose the fashion metropolis of Milan as their location.

In the new store, the brand wants to offer its current clothing collections for women, men and children as well as home accessories and cosmetic products. A “Nordic-inspired” vegetarian café will also be set up there.

Pernilla Wohlfahrt, Arket’s managing director, explained the plans: “We are very pleased about the upcoming opening of the store in Milan and that we are now finally present on the Italian market,” she said in a statement. “For me, Milan is synonymous with quality and craftsmanship, which is why this new opening was one of the ones we were most excited about. We can’t wait to meet our Italian customers and build a closer relationship with the fashion-conscious locals.”
