The weapon may have been drawn following an argument that took place earlier at another location in Hoorn.
The report came in at 3:50 p.m., says a police spokesperson. The police investigated the sports complex, where mainly football clubs are located.
Helicopter above the complex
During that investigation, several people at the sports complex were searched and checked. According to the spokesperson, the people who matched the description provided did not have a weapon with them. All personal data has been checked for further police investigation.
The police were present in bulletproof vests, and a helicopter also flew above the area for some time. The police are currently reviewing camera images and no arrests have been made.
