The Argentine central bank wants to make it easier for farmers to export soy products. It wants to do this, among other things, by allowing farmers to obtain US dollars under more favorable conditions than the official exchange rate. The Argentine newspapers La Nación and Clarín have already described the measure as the ‘soy dollar”. It would be available from August 31.
