Arena is expanding its range, which is produced in Italy.
The Italian swimwear specialist now also has the new swimming goggle model “The One Plus” produced right on your own front door, said Arena. The product will be produced in a production facility in Campogalliano, Modena in order last year – around 60 kilometers from Bologna and 300 kilometers from the company headquarters. Around 1.5 million are to be created there every year.
“The One Plus” is the following model of the “The One” swimming glasses launched in 2018 and has “new anti-Fog technology and improved wearing comfort”. The production of glasses frames requires some manual processes, such as the assembly of the individual components. In addition, the production process was highly automated, thus increasing precision and efficiency.
The region around Modena is a competence center for automation, both in Italy and worldwide, Arena CEO Peter Graschi told fashionunited. Therefore, it is not a coincidence that you have decided on a production in this place.
“It was a real challenge to make an already versatile and successful product like The One even better,” said Greg Steyger, director of the Racing & Equipment product category at Arena. “After almost two years of intensive research and development, we are proud to be able to present glasses that correspond to the highest technical standards and is yet affordable.”

Arena CEO: Want to expand production in Italy
In addition to the new swimming goggles, Arena also produces textiles in Italy. The competition-oriented premium line “Powerskin” in Rovetta, near Milan, has been manufactured for ten years.
But it shouldn’t stay that way. Arena is planning to further expand its production facility in Italy “not only in terms of volume, but also with regard to the production opportunities”, said Graschi. “Performance swimming glasses of the top class” in Italy are also to be produced within the coming years. This requires further investments in the production line. In addition, the company also wants to work more on projects for the “Hard Goods” line-products such as swimming fins and Pull Buoys-to manufacture them in Italy too.
“With the new production line in Italy, Arena not only affirms his commitment to innovation, but also underlines the importance of local production,” said the arena boss. “‘Made in Italy’ becomes a synonym for quality and sustainability in the swimming world. It is a central part of our production strategies, and we check the implementation of further projects in this regard.”
