Archie Cruz and Iida Vainio’s dog Jellybean got into a fire in Kalasatama.

Iltalehti reached rocker Archie Cruz, aka Arttu Kuosmanen, by phone, whose dog was caught in the Kalasatama fire on Saturday. The dog was being cared for by Vainio’s friend in the same apartment building.

Kuosmanen has not seen the dog since the fire, but says that it is doing well. The dog and Vainio’s friend got out of the house in good time. According to Kuosmanen, the dog has a brave character anyway, so it didn’t flinch from the fire. Vainio’s friend had to go to the ambulance to check that he hadn’t inhaled carbon monoxide.

Kuosmanen was on his way to Vainio and his dog when Iltalehti played.

The dog has spent the night with Vainio in hotel Kämp. According to Kuosmanen, the dog received treats and a luxury bed from the staff.

– It’s probably just enjoying itself, Kuosmanen laughs when talking about the dog’s condition.

Kuosmanen and Vainio lived in the same house before. The fire started in a different apartment, and according to Kuosmanen’s understanding, it did not spread to their old apartment.

– However, the water could have spread to the structures there due to the extinguishing works, which is not to be missed. I really need to send big thumbs up to the residents. I hope they will receive compensation if property has been lost and especially if the apartment has burned down.

In Kuosmanen’s opinion, seeing the old corners of the home go up in flames felt wild, but you can’t predict fires either.

Kuosmanen states that it hurts and happens in Kalasatama. For example, he still has in mind the murder that happened in 2023 in Kalasatama. Now the family lives a more peaceful life in Sipoo.

The couple’s love story began during the filming of the Farmi Suomi program. Jani Korpela
