Apricot Crush – the 2024 Color of the Year by WGSN and Coloro

The soft orange tone Apricot Crush was named Color of the Year 2024 by the trend research institute WGSN in cooperation with the color experts from Coloro – The Color Code.

WGSN calls the peach hue “restorative, refreshing and energizing,” which fits “perfectly at a time when we’re grappling with a range of emotions and unease about the future,” the trend research institute wrote in a blog about last September the trend color.

“Cultivating a hopeful and positive attitude has become a powerful coping mechanism for consumers. Caring, connection and community underlie our Color of the Year, which also evokes the nutritional value of oranges and apricots, which are rich in vitamins and antioxidants,” according to WGSN in its announcement.

According to the company, Apricot Crush (Coloro 024-65-27) is versatile and gender neutral. The color experts describe the peachy trend color as “very suitable for casual wear, loungewear, activewear and outerwear”, according to WGSN.
