Approved: Bruges’ much-discussed waste plan will come into effect on June 1

Four in ten Bruges families will use a organic waste bin for vegetable, fruit and garden waste. That figure was announced four days before the new waste plan came into effect, which was the subject of much discussion. From Monday, residual waste bags will have a different color and they will also become a bit more expensive. The intermunicipal IVBO therefore follows the guidelines of OVAM, which outlines waste policy in Flanders.
