Appointment Review Committee on experiments in the administration of justice | News item

On the recommendation of Minister Weerwind for Legal Protection, the Council of Ministers has decided to appoint the chairman and six members of the Review Committee on Experiments in the Administration of Justice. This committee is set up in the context of the Temporary Experiments Act on the administration of justice.

The Testing Committee on Experiments in the Administration of Justice will advise the Minister on proposals for experimental procedures before the civil courts, based on the Temporary Experiments Act on the Administration of Justice. The purpose of the Experiments Act is to investigate in practice which measures promote simple, fast, effective and de-escalating dispute resolution.

prof. mr. L. Timmerman will be chairman of the Assessment Committee. He is a professor of corporate law at Erasmus University Rotterdam and previously worked as Advocate General at the Supreme Court.

The committee will also consist of Prof. Dr. C. van den Bos, Prof. Dr. AT Marseille, Dr. M. Turina-Tumewu, Prof. Dr. L. Visscher, Prof. Dr. M. ter Voert and Prof. Dr. M. Westerveld.
