Drs. MHG (Marc) Konings will become Deputy Secretary General at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. The Council of Ministers has approved the nomination on the proposal of Minister Uitermark of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. The appointment takes effect on January 1, 2025.
Marc Konings has been Director of Financial and Economic Affairs since November 2020, and acting Deputy Secretary General at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management from August 2024. Previously, he was director of Organization, Operations and Personnel, and also acting deputy secretary general at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment for a period. Marc Konings studied Econometrics/Operational Research & Management at the University of Amsterdam.
This appointment was made through the procedure for the top management group of the General Administrative Service.
