On the recommendation of Minister Van Weel of Justice and Security, the Kingdom Council of Ministers has approved the appointment of Mrs. KK van Nie as chief public prosecutor on Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba. She will succeed Mr. WE Kupers with effect from the date of her swearing-in.
Ms Van Nie currently works as a National Witness Protection Officer at the National Public Prosecution Service. She previously worked in various roles within the Public Prosecution Service, including on Sint Maarten as a Youth Public Prosecutor where she was involved in the settlement of youth cases and youth policy.
The appointment ensures that the Public Prosecution Service on Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba retains experienced and skilled leadership.
