Monika Sie Dhian Ho, Marco Pastors and Viola Bex-Reimert become members of the Migration Advisory Council. The Council of Ministers agreed to this on the proposal of Minister Van den Brink of Asylum and Migration. The appointments will take effect on September 1, 2026.
With the departure of Ton van Loon, Helga Valk and Mark Klaassen, who had all been council members for 2 terms, room was created for 3 new members. The Migration Advisory Council explicitly sought a mix of scientific knowledge, practical experience and expertise at European, national and local level.
Monika Sie Dhian Ho brings experience in strategic policy, international relations and European issues. Marco Pastors has extensive experience in the field of local government and social issues. Viola Bex-Reimert has expertise in the field of administrative law, migration law and legal protection.
The Migration Advisory Council consists of chairman Monique Kremer and 9 members. They have all been selected based on their expertise in a specific area related to migration and integration.
