At the proposal of Minister Uitermark of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, the Kingdom Council of Ministers has approved the nomination for appointment of Mr. Dr. GAE Thodé as a member of the Chapter for the Civil Orders.
Mr Thodé (59 years old) has been an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Groningen since 2023. From 2012 – 2021 he was Rector of the University of Aruba and from 2008 – 2011 Governor of Bonaire. In addition, he has been chairman of the BES Supervisory Committee for the Protection of Personal Data since 2014.
The appointment takes effect on January 1, 2025.
