Mrs. E. (Ellen) van Selm will be the new mayor of Purmerend. On the proposal of Minister Bruins Slot of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, the Council of Ministers has decided to nominate her for appointment. The appointment will take effect on September 22, 2022.
Mrs. Van Selm (58 years old) is a member of D66. She is currently mayor of the municipality of Opsterland. Mr Don Bijl is currently acting mayor of Purmerend.
