drs. EE (Esther) de Kleuver becomes Inspector-General of the Justice and Security Inspectorate at the Ministry of Justice and Security. The Council of Ministers has approved the nomination on the proposal of Minister Bruins Slot of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. The appointment will take effect on January 1, 2023. She will succeed Henk Korvinus, who will retire on January 1, 2023.

Esther de Kleuver has been director of Sustainable Living Environment and Circular Economy since 2018, and also deputy director-general Environment and International at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. She is currently Acting Director-General for Environment and International. Before that, she was director of Healthy and Safe Working at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment. Esther previously held various management positions at the Ministries of Security and Justice and the Interior and Kingdom Relations and she was a researcher at the Central Criminal Investigation Information Division.

Esther de Kleuver studied Social Psychology at the Free University in Amsterdam.

This appointment was made on the basis of the procedure for the top management group of the General Administrative Service. The recruitment and selection for this appointment was done by Bureau ABD. As usual, the vacancy was widely advertised so that everyone could apply.
