Drs. PG (Petra) Lugtenburg becomes Director-General for Aviation and Maritime Affairs at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. The Council of Ministers has agreed to the proposal from Minister Uitermark of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. The appointment starts on June 1, 2025.
Petra Lugtenburg has been the director-general national budget at the Ministry of Finance since August 2018. Before that she was the chief director of Finance and Control at the Ministry of Defense. Earlier, she fulfilled at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment, among other things, the functions of Director of Financial Economic Affairs, Director of Program Working according to Capital and Director of Reintegration and Participation.
Petra Lugtenburg studied public administration at the University of Leiden and Erasmus University Rotterdam.
This appointment was made through the procedure for the top management group of the General Administrative Service.
