drs. P. (Petra) de Kam will be deputy secretary-general at the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality. The Council of Ministers has approved the nomination on the proposal of Minister Bruins Slot of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. The appointment will take effect on November 1, 2023.
Petra de Kam has been director of the Brabant Southeast Security Region since 2019. Before that, she was deputy municipal secretary and also group director at the Municipality of Breda. She previously held various management positions. She was, among other things, deputy chief constable of Utrecht at the Police and director of Operations at the Central and West Brabant Security Region/Fire Brigade.
Petra de Kam studied Business Economics at KUB Tilburg.
This appointment was made through the procedure for the top management group of the General Administrative Service.
