At the Common Court of Justice, Mr. AMM (Anne) Vingerling is appointed as a new member. The Rijksministerraad has agreed to the nomination for appointment on the proposal of State Secretary Struycken (legal protection).
Mr. Vingerling is appointed as of 15 August 2025 with Aruba as the location. She will be part of the Civil Law team. At the moment Mr. Vingerling is a judge at the District Court of The Hague. There she is active in the family law sector. She is also trainer of judges in training there. She previously worked as a judge at the District Court of The Hague in the Administrative Law sector and was a personal injury lawyer and company lawyer.
The Common Court of Justice of Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten and Van Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba provides the judiciary on the islands. The judges at the Common Court of Justice deal with civil matters, criminal cases and administrative matters (including tax matters), both at first instance and on appeal. The Common Court is also involved in Special Judiciary Colleges (such as for civil servants) and in lectures in charge of disciplinary law. The Court consists of both judges in local service and from the European part of the Kingdom of judges.
