The joint contact point for founding advice of the University of Lübeck and the Lübeck University of Technology is located in Foundercube On the Hanse Innovation Campus Lübeck. Claudia Linde, head of the founding cube since May 2025, continues the successful work of the joint founding advice of both Lübeck universities. This had been created and successfully established in recent years by merging the structures of both institutions for start -up support.
Support from the founders
Students, (scientific) employees, professors and graduates with an entrepreneurial spirit have a central point of contact in the Gründercube and can concentrate on transferring their knowledge and ideas into a company foundation. In the Gründercube you will find support from the generation of ideas to the creation of a business model to the establishment of your own start-up. Because only in a founding -friendly environment can innovative ideas arise, implemented to products or services and ultimately mature to successful business models. Both the University of Lübeck and the Technical University of Lübeck have founding-relevant research and transfer potential.
With the competition Founder Prize of the Sparkasse zu Lübeck incentives to implement scientific research results through sophisticated business ideas into economic success. After a careful selection, the award was awarded by a jury consisting of experts November 18, 2025 take place in the Audimax on the Hanse Innovation Campus Lübeck.
Process and application
As in previous years, the founding and founding teams are asked by the Hanse Innovation Campus Lübeck to submit drawn up concepts for their potential founding projects. The Application deadline runs from June 5 to September 14, 2025. This is then selected. A jury, which consists of experts from the fields of business and science, will then invite applicants in a final round to present their respective concepts in a presentation. A special price for extraordinary creative services can also be awarded.

Strengthen Science and Research Location Lübeck
The chairman of the Sparkasse in Lübeck, Frank Schumacher, says: It is a major concern of the Sparkasse in Lübeck to strengthen and advance the science and research location Lübeck. It is important to us to support young academics: in the inside with their directional ideas and to promote the entrepreneurial thinking and actions of the founders: to promote inside. For the ninth time, not only attractive founding concepts from the University of Lübeck and the UKSH Campus Lübeck, but also the Technical University of Lübeck, have been awarded. The value of the price not only consists of the prize money of a total of 10,000 euros. Its function is always important. It aims to make the general public aware of the fact that with good preparatory work and with the necessary commitment, it is successful to implement the innovation transfer from research and science in the Lübeck region in jobs and economic growth – and also in the challenging times that we continue to experience.
