At least for the USA and Great Britain the line-up represents the slide of the year. It is still unclear whether Germany can also listen.
The end of the year is already around the corner. Apple Music has now announced a music program for the final night of 2024. In addition to two livestream events, including with Björk, the streaming provider is also planning a 24-hour program with special DJ tracks. However, a big question mark still remains as to whether this digital event will also be available to stream in this country. More on this below.
DJ sets from Björk, Tim Sweeney, Skepta and more
Both New Year’s Eve livestreams are titled “Apple Music Live: NYE.” Icelandic singer Björk is scheduled to kick things off with a DJ set on December 31st at 9pm GMT. You can also expect appearances from Tim Sweeney and the DJ Naina. The three artists’ sets will only be broadcast as pure audio streams on the radio stations Apple Music Club and Apple Music 1.
According to the report from “The Line of Best Fit”, a video stream of “Apple Music Live: NYE” will continue from 11pm GMT. Here you can see performances by Skepta and follow Uncle Waffles. It continues to be streamed on the radio stations Apple Music Club and Apple Music 1, as well as on Apple Music. Incidentally, all live performances, both the audio format with Björk and the video clips, were pre-recorded at The Cause in London.
Listen to DJ tracks for 24 hours
In addition to the “Apple Music Live: NYE” sets, another program was also put together for the evening. Apple announced a 24-hour program on December 18th. On December 31st at 8 a.m. GMT, the streaming service is planning a 24-hour radio takeover at Apple Music Club and on Apple Music 1. DJ sets from Justice, Rüfüs Du Sol, horsegirl, John Summit, Jyoty, Kayan, among others, will be featured here , DIDI Han, SPINALL and Skratch Bastid can be heard.
Live stream also in Germany? Unclear
It is still unknown whether you will also have access to the music offering at the turn of the year in this country. So far, all dates have only been announced for the US and UK time zones. If the program is also available in Germany, given the English time zone GMT, one could assume that the live stream will start here from 10 p.m.
