“Antwerp mayor Els van Doesburg was also a possible target of a terrorist cell”

During four house searches in Antwerp, a terrorist cell was rounded up on Thursday that targeted Prime Minister Bart De Wever (N-VA) and other politicians in our country. During one of the house searches in Deurne, near the prime minister’s private home, the police found a homemade explosive. The suspects are said to have planned to carry out an attack with a drone on which the explosive device would be attached. Three suspects were arrested, one has since been released.
