Actor and presenter Antti Holma says in a May 9 release We have a home in a blog post about having had heart surgery.
Holma’s heart was operated on for arrhythmias.
– The power cord was flooded into my chambers to burn a small area from the edge of my heart where the arrhythmias lived, Holma says.
– I was not anesthetized, but I got so good medication that when I lay down I thought about my little family, my dog, and that maybe it had already slightly thawed my cold pump and thus made the doctor’s job easier, Holma adds.
The operation was planned in advance and did not last long. Holma spent only a few hours in the hospital.
Holma adds that she was caught in an American “insurance company mess” because of the operation, which caused the man a headache before the operation. He was not sure who the costs would go to or whether he would get into the operation at all.
Holma and her wife Emmanuel Ceysson recently bought a house in Los Angeles and have ended up taking a new family member to a new home. The dog’s name is Sasou.
Holma describes everyday life with a dog as challenging a few days before surgery when she had to be home with the dog alone. Holma was stressed out of the mess with the insurance company and the puppy was destroying the furniture in Holma’s home while she was trying to do housework. At the end of a heavy and hectic day, however, the duo settled on the couch to watch the series.
