The winter transfer phase is running and the German clubs are right in the middle of it. You can find rumors and fixed changes from the world of football here.

With the beginning of 2025, the change window opened in the Bundesliga and in other European leagues. In Germany, the transfer period ends on February 3. After that, players can still switch abroad if the leagues have a later transfer closure.

Which clubs are most urgently needed, what does FC Bayern do and what about the top European clubs? These and many other questions are answered in this transfer winter. At T-Online there are an overview of the most important assumptions and changes from Germany and the world.

Anthony Modeste apparently has a new club. As the TV broadcaster Sky reports, the striker will sign at the Spanish third division club CF Intercity. Modeste receives a contract until the end of the season and should help the club to stay in the league.

The 36-year-old has been without a club since the summer of 2024 after his contract had expired in Egypt (Al Ahly). In the meantime, the former striker of 1st FC Köln and Borussia Dortmund was associated with Schalke 04.

Antony, who switched from Ajax Amsterdam to Manchester United for a transfer fee of 95 million euros in the summer of 2022, will at least temporarily leave the “Red Devils”. The 24-year-old Brazilian switched to Spanish first division club Real Betis until the end of the season. A purchase option was not agreed. Both clubs confirmed the agreement on Saturday evening.

Antony had lost his regular place before the start of the current season. At that time coach Erik Ten Hag rely on Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Amad on the wings. Even after Ten Hag’s release and the takeover by Rúben Amorim, Antony’s role did not change.

In the ongoing Premier League season, the offensive player did not get any starting fine. He achieved his only scorer point in the League Cup in the 7-0 win against Barnsley. In the end, he was mostly only substituted, but could hardly convince in these short assignments.

The French U23 international reports reportedly the record transfer of his new employer. Until the end, Luka Jović was the most expensive new commitment in Frankfurt with 22.34 million euros. Wahi is now apparently cost the SGE 26 million euros in basic reductions. With bonuses, the sum can increase by another three million euros.

Is there still a spectacular change to the Bundesliga this winter? According to Pay TV broadcaster Sky, Chelsea attacker Christopher Nkunku wants to go to FC Bayern, should this possibility open until the deadline expires. Personal conditions have already been negotiated. Nkunkus consultant Pini Zahavi is still in contact with both clubs.
