Boxer Anthony Joshua has announced his return to the ring. The two-time unified world heavyweight champion was recently challenged by Tyson Fury, but will take on Albanian Kristian Prenga on July 25.
Joshua’s last fight was the win over Jake Paul last December. He was then involved in a fatal car accident in Nigeria that killed two friends. Since then, the Brit has recovered and is working on a return to the boxing ring.
Two weeks ago, Joshua was challenged by Tyson Fury, who crowned his comeback with a sovereign victory over 36-year-old Russian Arslanbek Makhmudov. “I want to give you the fight everyone wants: The Battle of Britain” he said.
Fury will have to wait a while for that. Joshua will face Kristian Prenga on July 25. The 35-year-old heavyweight from Albania is known for his knockouts and calls the choice of him a huge error of judgment on Joshua’s part.
The fight will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and will be broadcast by DAZN.
