In a recent interview, acting legend Anthony Hopkins, 87, gives his firm opinion on various neurospectrum diagnoses, such as ADHD.

Sunday Times tells how Hopkins’ wife, Stella Arroyave, suspects that her husband is on the autism spectrum.

– I am obsessed with numbers. I’m obsessive about details. I like everything to be organized and memorized. Stella cleared this up and said, “You must have Asperger syndrome.

– I didn’t know what the hell he was talking about. I don’t even believe it, Hopkins charged in the interview.

Asperger syndrome this is not used anymore as a separate diagnosis, but it is read as part of the autism spectrum disorder.

– I must be cynical because it’s all nonsense. It’s rubbish. ADHD, OCD, Asperger’s, blah, blah, blah.

– Oh my God. It’s called living. It’s just humanity full of tangled webs and mysteries and stuff that we have. Full of warts, dirt and madness. It’s a human condition. All these stamps, who cares? But now they are fashionable, says Hopkins in an interview.

Mirror reports how Hopkins’s statement has caused, for example, the ADHD organization operating in Britain to lash out.

Anthony Hopkins’ wife Stella Arroyave suspected that some of her husband’s behavior could be due to the autism spectrum. PDO

– For those who have found a suitable place for themselves, where their individuality and difference helps them to succeed, it is easy to forget how difficult it is for those who have not yet found it, comments the CEO and founder of ADHD UK Henry Shelford for the magazine.

Shelford commented, among other things, how neurospectrum diagnoses are not obtained like fast fashion, but can take years to obtain.

– ADHD can be a very difficult disease, and comments like this make it even more difficult for those who struggle the most.
