The police investigated on Saturday night around the Paletplein in Tilburg after a report that someone had shot into the air there. A shell was found in the street. Police said no one was injured.
No description has been released of the person who would have fired the shot into the air on Saturday night.
Robbery
A week ago, shots had already been fired in the air in Tilburg. Then someone walked through the center of town with a firearm on Friday night. He fired into the air in the Burgemeester Brokxlaan and at the Dudokhof. Two young men were threatened by the man with the weapon and robbed.
This 28-year-old man was arrested a day later. His firearm turned out to be a so-called emergency pistol.
