In the NBA, the best players of the previous week are always named on Mondays. One player from both conferences will receive the honor.
The Western Conference Player of the Week is Lauri Markkanenfor the first time in his career.
Markkanen led the Utah Jazz to four wins last week. He averaged 24.5 points, 11 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.
The best of the week in the Eastern Conference was named the Miami Heat Bam Adebayo.
Markkanen’s successful last week also included a long-distance win for the Sportsman of the Year award.
