As a result of this arrest around 10:15 pm Wednesday evening, there are only two occupiers left in the forest. One occupier shared a self-built hut in an old oak in the Sterrebos with the unfortunate woman, and is now left alone in the tree house. The other occupier lies in a hammock covered with plastic sheeting at the edge of the forest along the Rijksweg Susteren-Sittard.
The spokeswoman spoke of a “downer.” According to her, a woman had already been arrested by security in the same way. This woman also came down to relieve herself and was promptly arrested.
“We will meet on Thursday to see how to proceed,” the spokeswoman said.
A police spokesperson could not be reached on Wednesday evening.
