The Ministry of Human Capital presented on its social networks Garythe dog adopted by the organization, within the framework of World Greyhound Day, which was commemorated last February 1. In an official publication, the ministry highlighted the importance of making visible the care of a breed that is often a victim of abandonment and abuse.
“He is Gary, the darling of Human Capital. Our team adopted him to give him a family. We present to you the story of this little dog who was destined to twist his destiny,” they said from the ministry, along with images that showed the dog already integrated into the daily life of the organization.
Days later, on February 5, the official account released a new video in which he is seen touring the offices, interacting with employees and resting on the building’s armchairs. In that material, the origin of his name was also explained.
Gary was named in honor of Gary Beckerthe American economist who developed the concept of “human capital.” According to this theory, a person’s education, experience, and health constitute a form of capital that, when strengthened through study and training, increases their productivity, income, and opportunities throughout life.
From the ministry they indicated that the dog “accompanies the team in its daily tasks” and became a regular presence in the building, where it is seen walking through the hallways and sharing moments of rest with the workers.
The incorporation of Gary adds to a series of symbolic gestures that the ruling party has been building around animals. The president Javier Milei He has repeatedly made public his devotion to his “little four-legged children,” especially Conan, while his sister and general secretary, Karina Mileialso usually shows his dog Thor on social networks.
In this context, Gary’s arrival at the Ministry of Human Capital reinforces an imprint where pets occupy a central place in the narrative and communication of the libertarian government.
