A car went up in flames in Hoogeveen last night. This makes the list of car fires in that place longer again, this year at least five cars have already burned out.
This time a delivery van on Calkoenstraat caught fire. The fire brigade managed to extinguish the fire, but little was left of the back of the car.
The car fires have been keeping people busy in Hoogeveen for some time. Last year, a total of 38 car fires were reported, the highest number in Drenthe. According to an analysis by the police, the fires in Hoogeveen have various causes.
