Anne Heche was buried on Mother’s Day

On Mother’s Day, which fell last Sunday (May 14), Anne Heche’s family laid the late actress to rest at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles. She died on August 11, 2022 at the age of 53. On August 5, Heche was in a serious car accident and was in a coma for several days before life support was turned off.

The ceremony, during which Heche’s cremated remains were moved to her final resting place, took place in the Luxus Cemetery’s Cathedral Mausoleum. “She loved everyone so passionately and deeply,” a rep for the actress shared in a statement from her family. “Her children and all those she left behind thank everyone for their support and love during this difficult time and are grateful to be able to honor their mother.”

Anne Heche was one of the most famous actresses in Hollywood in the 1990s. She has appeared in Donnie Brasco, Six Days Seven Nights, Wag the Dog, Volcano, and the Psycho reboot, among others. On television she has appeared in shows such as Ally McBeal, Nip/Tuck, Hung and Dig. In 1995 she was in a relationship with Steve Martin for two years, after which she and presenter Ellen DeGeneres were a couple for three years. Two later marriages produced two sons. Her marriage to cinematographer Coley Laffoon ended in divorce in 2009.
