Anne Heche is dead

Anne Heche is dead. This was confirmed by her spokeswoman Holly Baird on Sunday evening. The actress was 53 years old and died on August 11, 2022.

Heche was previously in an induced coma for several days after crashing her car into a house in Los Angeles on August 5. Her brain death had previously been declared, which means that a person is considered dead in California. Now all life-sustaining devices that – according to Heche’s wish – were needed for organ donations have been switched off.

Anne Heche was one of the most famous actresses in Hollywood in the 1990s. She has appeared in Donnie Brasco, Six Days Seven Nights, Wag the Dog, Volcano, and the Psycho reboot, among others. On television she has appeared in shows such as Ally McBeal, Nip/Tuck, Hung and Dig.

In 1995 she was in a relationship with Steve Martin for two years, after which she and presenter Ellen DeGeneres were a couple for three years. Two later marriages produced two sons.

Her marriage to cinematographer Coley Laffoon ended in divorce in 2009. Prior to her marriage, Heche dated talk show host Ellen DeGeneres at times.
